We know there are a lot of things to consider when picking a hair transplant company, so we put together a list of a few things you may not think of that we think are essential to a great experience and result.

  1. How many surgeries are being done on the day I am scheduled?

This is an area that often gets overlooked. We believe it is essential that each patient gets complete and total focus from their surgeon to get the best possible result. If you are one of four patients having a transplant on the same day, and one surgeon is running from one room to another, shortcuts will be taken. We suggest each patient make sure their thoughts and opinions are heard and no short cuts are taken.

  1. How are my grafts counted?

You may be surprised to learn that there is huge variation in the way grafts are counted within the industry. When an FUE graft is extracted, it may contain anywhere from 1-6 hair follicles, which means it will grow that many hairs. Some hair companies will split the larger grafts into multiple smaller 1-2 hair grafts to increase the number of grafts they can charge people for. These 4-6 hair grafts are essential to adding extra density when your transplant begins to grow in. We believe it is essential to ask your surgeon how your grafts are being counted and whether any grafts are being split.

  1. Trust

Trust is an essential component with any cosmetic surgery. If you feel you aren’t being told the whole truth, you probably aren’t. A hair transplant can be a wonderful and life changing experience, and we want to be totally transparent with each person we talk to- even if you are going to do a transplant with another company! There is a lot of misinformation out there about hair transplants and we want to change that. We want each patient to be informed. If you feel you are being lied to or misled by another company, give us a call and we will be happy to give you straight answers, even if you want to move forward with another company!
